Benefits Specialists are trained and certified by the Social Security Administration to provide individuals with disabilities, their families and significant others with accurate and understandable information about:
- Developing individualized benefits plans
- How working will affect benefits such as Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, Transitional Assistance, Public Housing, Workers' Compensation and more
- Developing PASS plans, which can help you meet expenses to achieve your employment goal
- Ongoing assistance to help you manage your benefits as you transition into employment Information and referral on education, training, and rehabilitation services
- Social Security Work Incentives, Public Health Insurance, Long-term care services, Employment Based Health Insurance, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), and Federal and State Housing Programs
