Programs near you can help with job training, searches and supports

There are many state and private programs that offer help with employment for people with a disability. The programs listed below have multiple locations across the state, and are good starting points for gathering information about employment supports and services.


Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission
Vocational assessment, training, job placement and other supports. 

Career Centers
Local one-stop shops for all your job search needs. 

Clubhouses 
Community-based employment, housing, education and mental health services for people with psychiatric disabilities.

Independent Living Centers 
Community-based information, advocacy, referrals, peer counseling and independent living skills training.

Massachusetts Commission for the Blind
Vocational Supports for persons who are legally blind. 

Massachusetts Department of Mental Health 
Clinical, rehabilitative and supportive services for adults with serious mental illness.

Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation
Specialized services and supports including day supports, employment supports, residential supports, family supports, respite, and transportation.
